City of Hamilton, Ontario

Waterfall chasting in City of Hamilton, Ontario is the most amazing day trip from Toronto.

Hamilton is a Canadian city on the western side of Lake Ontario and famous for its remarkable waterfalls. Aboriginals called hamilton city; the bay Macassa meaning “beautiful waters”.

We had a day trip to hamilton.

First, we visited  WEBSTER FALLS, it’s so impressive.

It’s located in the village of Dundas, the largest waterfall in the area.
Visiting this spectacular waterfall is most when you are in hamilton

Then we drove to  Devil’s punch bowl waterfall. It is one of the stunning natural formations along the Niagara Escarpment.
The lookout point has eye-catching views of Stoney Creek and Hamilton Harbour.

To see this cool waterfall you can use the paid parking lot at the top of the waterfall.

Punch bowl waterfall has slow flow but photo-worthy because of colorful layers of rock that surround the falls and it dates back a million years.

There is a 10-meter high steel cross which constructed in 1966 by a local resident to “bring light to the community.”

Punch bowl market & bakery is a fantastic market and bakery, Perfect stop after a hike.
Just 5 minutes away from the waterfall.

It’s a wonderful general store and has a great garden nursery too. My sister bought so many beautiful plants for the backyard.
It has an amazing bakery. we bought some home-baked tart and sweets.

On the way down to hamilton city, we saw Battlefield Monument.

Battlefield Monument is located on a top of the hill right behind Battlefield House. It is about 31-meter masonry  Gothic Revival style structure.
Also, its link to the Battle of Stoney Creek, War of 1812.
