Ingredients
  

  • 500 g spicy sausages beef or lamb
  • 2 large onions thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Sausages:
  • If the sausages are in casings, remove them and crumble the sausage meat into bite-sized pieces.
  • Sauté the Onions:
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the thinly sliced onions and cook until they become golden brown and caramelized, stirring occasionally. This may take about 15-20 minutes.
  • In a separate pan, heat the remaining tablespoon of oil.
  • Add the sausage meat and minced garlic. Cook until the sausages are browned and cooked through.
  • Add the turmeric, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the sausages. Mix well to coat the sausages in the spices.
  • Add the tomato paste and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Combine the sautéed onions with the spiced sausages. Stir well and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Serve: Transfer the Sosis Bandari to a serving dish, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve hot.
